Raiden also does best when he is in the same state as his opponent (grounded or aerial). Raiden's major strength is being able to control the air with his Mid-Air Slices and Rolling Thunder (backflip cut). While Raiden is fairly strong at close range, he unfortunately lacks projectiles. Raiden is a close-range character with moves that are fairly safe on block and lead to high-risk, high-reward 50-50 mix-ups.
